SD Card Slot Use??

I don't remember if it was our 2013 Acadia or 2015 Sierra but one of them did display photos from a thumb drive.  I haven' t tried a card or thumb drive in my 2020 yet.

I am shocked at the amount of people who are curious what the sd card slot does but have not tried it. Yes you can load movies and music on a sd card and it will play as long as it is formatted correctly. I have a 256gb sd card formatted as NFTS loaded with Disney movies for the kids and it plays them all from the sd card.

 You can also upload maps for hunting and trails that way when you lose wifi or data you can still use your nav screen to see where to go.

Would a micro SD card work if I used an SD card adapter?
