Reliable because they essentially used the gmt-800 series drive train. The plastic interiors and horrible exterior looks is a huge reason why most consider it one of the worst series of Silverado ever made by GM. And lets face it, gm made some of the worst crap during those years, wasn't just the Silverado.

The Silverados are ugly but the Sierras are ok. I'm a function over form guy, anyway.

The sierras certainly looked better exterior wise, but it still shared the same cracker jack interiors.

One thing is for certain in a gmt 900, your dash will crack and gm will laugh at you, and the cloth seats are some of the worst ever produced, i seriously remember seeing trucks not even a year old and the material already stretched and looking like it has been through the ringer.

My friend told me a couple years back that the interior of his 2009 Sierra Max was still mint but I think he's been dailying cars for the past 6+ years to keep his fuel costs down. (That light duty 6.0L is sure thirsty.)

Another new problem today. The truck will no longer connect to my phone via bluetooth. I tried having it forget my phone and repair, didnt work, so another trip to the dealer unless it magically fixed itself when I start it in the morning.

No, nothing has changed. Worked fine when I got in it this morning, outside of some random volume changes, which has always happened.
