I think the time line depends alot on what exactly is ordered. I ordered my 2500 crew cab LT gas in mid April(during the shutdown).  It arrived at the dealer mid July. I was surprised by how quick all things considered

I ordered the same truck. Hopefully I'll see it in early September. Plus for '21 MY they deleted Shadow Grey color I ordered.

Looks like you upgraded from a 1500 too?

Good color choice. Yes I upgraded from a 1500, looking forward to the towing abilities compared to the old truck.

Well for anyone interested, got an e-mail the other day from the dealer. My order got kicked back due to, too many orders and not enough 2020 parts. So no order for me.

I guess they'll be switching over to '21MY soon.  Mine is supposedly being built this week.

I've got a 2020 2500 Custom (dealer stock) coming w/ my name on it and I got a text from my salesman saying it was built yesterday.  I hoping to see it sometime in mid September.  I'm guessing it would be one of the last 2020's built?

is there anyway to track a vehicle by using the VIN? i would like to see if there is any movement on it

the truck I have a deposit on it sitting in Salt Lake City at the train yard. It is waiting for a truck to bring it to the dealer 8 hours away.

it was supposed to be delivered yesterday

Nope, I was told they stopped doing the tracking. Both while on the line and while in transit. Which in the world we live in today that dont make any sense.

i stopped at the dealer yesterday. they checked. it is still in salt lake, and awaiting truck transport.

they said they were going to tag it "hot" which may or may not mean anything.

my truck is officially sold to my brother in law, so I need the new one to arrive

Great to hear you found one since your order didn't go through.
My salesman says mine is now on a rail car heading to an area distribution center, so hopefully I see it soon.

Guess you slipped in under the cut off. I do wish I would have too. Pics when she arrives please.

Finally took delivery of on Friday. Dealer drove it to dealership from rail distribution yard about 50 miles away so I could have it for the weekend. I posted a few pics on the picture page.

You got the color matched wheel fenders! I do too. They look SSSSOOOOO good in white. Sets the truck apart from the 99% that have black fenders.

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
