Hey, I had a 2017 Silverado and now a 2019 Silverado, until recently, after trucks set overnight, when I unlocked door there was always a sound like pump spinning up, coming from under the bed. I always thought it was a fuel pump priming, but it has recently quit doing it, I have had some software updates done, but the noise is definitely gone. Anyone else noticed this?

I dunno, my ‘19 still does it all the time. When I lock it, when I unlock it, even when I open the tailgate. I guess if I were you, I wouldn’t worry about it if the truck is starting and running fine. It certainly wouldn’t with a dead fuel pump.

Mine still does it all the time as well. Mine is up to date on all recalls and software.

Mine doesn’t do it all the time. Or I’m just not noticing. Nothing to worry about until the truck doesn’t start.

My 2 week old 2020 primes the fuel pump when I walk by the ⛽️ tank as long as I have the key fob with me. It sounds cool to me. Because I’m a first time truck owner. It will probably annoy me as I get more acclimated driving this gigantic spaceship of a truck.

I should clarify, mine doesn't literally do it all the time, it just does it a lot. If I run in somewhere for 30 minutes and come back out the truck won't prime the fuel pump. It will after it has sat overnight though.

Yeah mine used to do it occasionally, most generally after setting overnite but it has completely stopped doing over the last 3 or 4 days.

Did you get any software upgrades? Mine still does it every morning when I get in
