go on google, there are tons of info on this subject.

the electric fans do not move the air that your clutch fan does, when i was researching for my old duramax 5 years ago.

i personally feel the mechanical fan is superior to the electric fans, if you got a tow rig.  they always pull air, and your AC will always be efficient.  arm chair hot rodders just think the electric fans are better.  if you have a viscous clutch inline than the mechanical set up is perfection!!

if you want to do some crazy stuff, delete the motor t-stat, and with HPtuners just set your low and high end on/off temps, but this would work best with grill shutters i'm thinking...

AC on my 2003 with a mechanical clutch fan was garbage when not moving. Electric fans are massively superior. No way that one shitty fan that can be stopped by a fried clutch that is dependent on engine RPM can outflow a pair of electronic fans. And I cannot recall hearing of an electronic fan failure on these trucks.

there is a reason GM uses a mechanical system on the HD trucks..they've done the research and know whats best

The reason is cost. They run e-fans on the 1500s to help meet MPG targets. HD trucks aren't subject to CAFE regulations so they don't care. They don't run them because they're better.
