"Off the wall" question - just curiosity

Ive noticed on rare occasions that there are some 2014 LTZ's (and LT's) with block honeycomb grills but most have the chrome grill. My first thought was earlier models had black then they moved on to chrome. The 2014 brochure shows all of them (except for WT models) to have chrome. All of the 14 Z71's were black ten the LTZ Z71's went to chrome in 2015. Picture below of what I am talking about. Again, just curiosity that's all.

**For clarity- I’m referring to the non-Z71 model LTZ’s.**

I have a 2014 LTZ Z71, it has a black grill but with horizontal bars rather than this honeycomb style.  I added a cheap chrome overlay.  My truck also has Z71 on the grill where this one has LTZ.

 

I'm thinking this one is just a LTZ 4x4, meaning not a Z71.  I am not certain though.

All the Z71's all have the horizontal bars. Mine is a LT and the bars are black. Yours is LTZ so the bars have chrome on them.

The regular LTZ has chrome honeycomb, WT has black honey comb.

I checked my 2015 brochure.
