2016 Sierra, 5.3L gas, 77k  miles

Just purchased the AC DELCO 4#41-114  Iridium SP.  from AutoZone and the sales  rep said they needed to be gap @ .44.

This morning I go to check the gap and i see @ .40. I rechecked 3 more  plugs and they all are @  .40

So now I'm confused  lol any help will be appreciated

Thank you

.40 is absolutely correct for these plugs. DO NOT regap Iridiun plugs.

I think I'll take GM's word on this one.

From the service manual, Spark Plug Gap - 0.037–0.043 in.

.040 is right on the money.  Throw'em in.

Appreciate the knowledge fellas.
Thank you.

I have 2 plugs gaped at .44.

Do I crank them down to .40 or go back to the store and return them for a new set.
Since they are OEM.

I honestly don't even check them anymore, unless the gap looks ridiculously off I just slap them in and carry on.

.043 spark plug gap for 2014 to 2018 5.3 L

just changed the plugs and wires for a 2014 Chevy Silverado 5.3 and am getting a multiple misfire now that I have put new ones in, a code po300, any ideas on what may be going on

Go back over your work and inspect everything. Check for a cracked plug or maybe you didn't push the wires all the way on.

Past that you need a scan tool to figure out what cylinders are misfiring and go straight after those to fix the issue.
