6.6 Resonator delete

Wanting a bit more rumble. Muffler shop

hasnt done any 6.6 gas but many 6.2. Guy recommended taking out the resonator and welding a pipe in its place, will this give more exhaust note without being obnoxious?

I would suggest not using Magnaflow, I just spent 700 bucks trying 2 different ones, both sound amazing, but drone so much on the freeway it's unbearable.  Something to do with the muffler being right under the cab or something.  My muffler guy was trying to understand why but couldn't pinpoint it.

Mine will maintain the factory muffler, only thing changed is the big trash can like resonator will be removed

I don’t believe that the 6.6 has the resonator due to not having AFM/DFM.  I don’t remember seeing one under my truck.

I had the first Flowmaster dual exhaust kit made, drone was 10/10 unbearable.  Swapped Magnaflow muffler - it's there a bit, but no more than 4/10 compared to the Flowmaster.  Can't quite get my driver side exhaust from 'dinging' my leaf spring now, but that's a different issue.  I drive mine a lot, otherwise I would have left the Flowmaster on there.

i have one on mine......its huge

I peeled the stock muffler out to install a magnaflow and I don’t really have any complaints about drone. I did also change the tail pipe to a side exit behind the rear wheel so that may have helped I don’t know.

That's the muffler not the resonator.
