Transmission problems at 1,000 miles!

Obviously you're expecting something else. But what?

Hopefully the dealer doesn't give you the runaround and say your "newly remanufactured" transmission is on backorder for three months.  At minimum they should extend your powertrain warranty.

_{They said it should be here in 3-5 days. Guess we'll know in 3-5 days. And for all of those thinking I'm being ungrateful, I'm not. GM has handled this the way a manufacturer should handle this up to this point and like I said in my previous post, I've gotten way more from them than a lot of people on these forums have. My issue is that no one seems to be too bothered by the fact that I'm having to replace a transmission on a truck with less than 1,000 miles, especially given that they've known about problems with these transmissions for years but they just keep building them and selling them to the masses, or passing the issues off as "normal."}

your transmission issue (well problem ) Is a Failed Manufacture defect most likely bad assembly or a defective part. Your Catastrophic Instant failure is not in any way Related to the transmission issues (mostly about shifting and thumping , Gear hunting for lack of better terms) that you see on these forums over and over. My personal opinion on most of those complaints are people expecting there truck to operate like a car or SUV. My company over the years have actually had better luck with Remanufactured (crate) Transmissions then brand new ones..  You may be getting a upgrade.

 

Thank you for reading..  Super sorry it happened but your truck is Mechanical it will be good as new when repaired.

it has been found thru investigative disassembly , many of GM's car transmission where missing a couple parts on the accumulators, this caused leakage in line pressure and failure.  not sure the verdict is on the new 8-10 speed issues yet.
