I installed the WAMS wireless android/car play radio on my truck today.  It only took me 20 minutes but I am pretty good with connectors.  The radio also comes with SD card for navigation.  I plugged radio in, put my email in for onstar and everything was ready to go.  I gained wireless car play and android auto.  I now have factory navigation now.  I retrofitted an oem wireless charger on my truck so it is really nice to just set my phone down and android auto automatically connects, no more wire.  I also retrofitted 360 cameras on my truck also with help of WAMS.  With this radio upgrade I gained the LTZ/HC  trailer app that (with my 360 upgrade) allows me to enter trailer dimensions for invisible trailer, jack knife warning and trailer blind spot warning.  This is truly smooth oem function.  WAMS is providing a brand new $800 radio (same that is in 2021 trucks) and a $300 sd card.  I think this is a great value for the programming and equipment you get, especially considering people are paying $600 for GPS only upgrade which is basically just a SD card.  Thank you WAMS for offering these very cool OEM solutions.

I am a new Silverado owner, '21 Trail Boss.  I have the IOS option however the HD radio was omitted due to the chip shortage.  In reading this comment, does the $800 option include the actual radio that would provide both HD Radio and Navigation that would replace the physical radio in my truck or only the control module that is under the glove box?

Also, when adding navigation, can the Trail Boss Dash Cluster show the MPH or does that require the High Country cluster?

Apologies if this is a simple question and I am misreading here.

Thanks!

Correct. We put one in our new 22 to get HD radio back as well, the base cluster may be able to show MPH but the high country for sure does obviously.

I did the navigation upgrade on my Trail Boss LT through MVI.  I don't get the speed limit in the dash.  However, GM changed the route guidance in the non-factory navigation trucks to something called Chevrolet Maps+.  It's a navigation system that does put the speed limit on your radio screen.  Both the posted limit and the speed you're traveling.  I have found many times the posted speed limit was incorrect, and many addresses that have been around for decades that the Maps+ didn't recognize.  I prefer the GM factory navigation system, especially since I have upgraded my OnStar subscription to maximize the benefits of the navigation system.  I don't have the issues Chevrolet Maps+ does, even though I'm not seeing the speed limit in the DIC.  If Chevrolet Maps+ is any indication, the speed limit info isn't always correct, and that's not an excuse that'll work with a judge.
