Hey guys. I recently picked up a 2018 Sierra Denali and noticed that there is a difference in how far the box sits away from the cab. There is a little bit more space, about a half inch, on the drivers side. The CarFax reported no accidents. Is this just an installation issue with the box being bolted down crooked or is there a bigger issue here?

It's a topic that has been talked about many times. It's a common thing for the bed to not be put on exactly equal side to side. You can search for other threads on here.

It bugs some people and others just don't give a hoot.

A GM product with a crooked bed?  Shocking!

It's 8 bolts and a little bit of wiggling to get it sorted out.  I'm not sure where you bought it from, but if it was a dealer, I'd see if they'd straighten you out for goodwill.

Now you made me OCD about the box being straight! So, I went & measured mine & found it to be within a 1/16th, so will say "I'M GOOD!" WOHO.....

Here's video showing the bolts, 8 of them on the K2xx models.

Food for thought. Maybe the bed is straight and the cab is crooked. ?️

Best to hang out for a while and make sure all the lights go out too. ?

Yea, if you caught the bed/cab issue, DO NOT check your rear bumper to see if the gaps on the bed are the same, or if it sits level.

And NEVER check the gaps on your front bumper, top, sides, and level, because your next post will be about buying a new RAM.

Ohhh, forgot how the rear doors fit at the bottom rear edge on the crew cabs......

Other than that, welcome to the site, and congratulations on your new to you truck, all little things that will never effect how your truck runs or drives, just little things that bug people like you and me.....
