Class action lawsuit over oil loss

Recommended Posts

Plenty of blame to spread around, epa for requiring absurd mpg standards whereby the manufacturers have responded with iffy cylinder deactivation and di, and yes the consumers too for demanding hi-tech Cadillacesc conveniences that are prone to failure in a vehicle once meant for work. Now consumers want a Barcolounger with a built in remote control that they can beat to hell off road too.

It would help if that was the problem. There's two of them - one is excessive oil spray on the bottom of the pistons, and low-tension piston rings.

I've got a catch can on mine. It catches oil, but still burns it if I leave cruise control on while towing on a hilly highway (91 northbound from MA through VT for example). High revs with high load will eat up oil like crazy on mine. Classic piston ring issue.
