i did a half dozen wot runs on the freeway today. truck is stock 5.3L stock tb. stock manifold.my air box is stock, but i removed the inner baffle at the fender connectio to the filter box, Air Aid Jr. resonator delete kit .. i was amaized at the numbers the little tb can flow thru the motor.

i hit a peak of about 2100-2200 CFM at 85 mph in 5th gear, air temp 58 F , tow haul mode.

doesn't this sound high to you guys for a 330hp engine?

Just curious if any of yall get a chance to log your wot pulls on the Torque app for your 5.3 or 6.2 truck. would be interesting to see what you get

I can tell you what my cammed 6.2 with Air raid JR with modified stock air box and headers does.  I'm getting ready to buy a ZR1 95mm throttle body and try my hand in some DIY porting.  Will see how it goes.

I got a EVAP that won't complete so I've been logging to see if it ever finished it's test so I can pass inspection.  So if anybody know how to force the test to complete I'm all ears.

Just in a first gear pull shifting at 6,276 or something like that.  My MAF 43.18 and MAP 94.3

I can get the LT5 for 196.74 through my father in-law.  The soler is 335.00 that 138 i save will go towards a LT2 intake.

Never mind it's 535 if you didn't already have a LT5 throttle body to send them.  I'll pass,  it's not and all out race truck.

Spend some time reading through Soler's site. There's a lot of science involved with throttle bodies that I wasn't aware of previously. Would be hard to replicate.

I dont actually have a Soler TB or controller so I cant speak first hand.

I've read it and I have nothing against them and I think their pretty good.  I just don't want to spend the money.  For a full bolt-on, heads, cam 6.2 on E85.  The 95mm should not be a restriction.  Now when the truck is paided off and I put some boost to it.  Will see it that's a choke point then.  But I think the stock rods will be my first worry.

Yea, a little.  (CID * RPM) / 3456 = CFM.

Swept volume in cubic feet in one minute.

Not knowing your gear and tire I just used the motors redline 5600 rpm and you get 523.87 cfm.

This number is multiplied by the volumetric efficiency.

Is your motor 400% volumetric efficient? ?

yeah i'm not messing with Torque OBD app,it's junk . i found a few other bugs in thier software and PIDS non-functional.

HPtuners all the way for me! I love that it has a community following too. . i will do a data log  on my stock truck and see what i get, just want to establish my baseline numbers before bolt on bigger Manifold and TB.
