2021 6.2L Ticking Sound

Anyone else have a noticeable ticking noise under load at between 1000-1500 RPM? At first I thought it was low octane gas but that doesn't seem to be the case. Only does it at around that RPM. Almost sounds like an exhaust leak.

Just got back from the service department and say the noise is normal and it is back pressure from an exhaust valve and something to do with active fuel management. Anyone with experience with this and can confirm if this sounds correct?

My 21 makes a slight tick, so did the 5.3 on the 16 I had. I thought I had read it was something to do with the high pressure fuel system with the DI.

I read the bulletin on the bad valve springs and recall seeing a statement that a tick is normal due to AFM ...

i hear the tick as well on a new 6.2.. Sounds like part of the fuel system... maybe

Yea mine still does this but only under light acceleration. More like a rattle than a tick I guess. It is annoying. My 2019 5.3L didn't do this at all.

Did anyone find a solution to this? I hear the same ticking on my 2022 Yukon Denali. Has about 1000 miles on it - bought brand new a few weeks ago. Here's a video (turn up volume):

Mine does it at startup. By the time I get backed out of the garage, its gone.

I have a 2019 Sierra with a 6.2L with 55k miles, and I have noticed that under load or towing, when the engine gets to the higher RPM range, I get what seems to be valve lash or something on the top end of the engine. It does not do it all the time, but probably about 80% of the time I can recreate the sound.
