funny story.  You all know i am hardcore looking for the right truck for me.  Recently had an experience with a Trail Boss LT where dealer said they wont honor the corporate discount afforded on other trucks.  Other dealers will do this so they are missing out, in fact dealers within 50kms are doing the deal.   But, with this market they know they can sell the truck without my discount so i understand but it shouldnt be up to them.  This is a national program.

Contact GM Corporate. They have to honor the pricing and they can’t force BS paint protection plans on you. My buddy just used a GM Code at Motor City GMC in Bakersfield. No issue.

I just talked to this dealership today. They will not accept Employee Supplier code. For the Yukons anyways. :(

Dealers are independent business's and participation in GM programs is optional. They are not required to honor GM discounts.  If you drill down the fine print you will always find this;  "At participating dealers only"

I am aware of that, and tbh in SoCal - it was a lot easier finding a dealership that would honor GM pricing. But now they’re blaming a shortage just to take advantage of customers. It’s wrong. Anyways, I was talking about the dealership itself that his buddy went to in Bakersfield. Decided to check them out. But they too are not accepting the codes, for Yukons at least. Such is life. I’ll wait. :)

The dealer iv bought most of my rides in the last 20 years has their side truck lot empty. I check online their inventory for trucks. It’s very low. I wouldn’t except any discounts at this time. Supply and demand. I wouldn’t be buying either.

Local dealer got a truck load of new GMC/Sliverao last week, they had none before this.  I happened to come out of Tractor Supply which is next to Chevy/GMC dealer and truck was pulling up so we sat and had a soft drink and watched the driver unload the whole truck there.  2 were ATV4 and 2 were Trail Boss's. Rest were entry level I4's per their web site, all CC's. Their lot is only 1/2 full of new vehicles, lots of empty space. Another dealer 100 miles away is also suddenly flush with new trucks after only have 1 or 2 Sierra for weeks (reg and dbl cab). I count 16 this am.  Its like the flood gates opened.

I looked at one AT4 that was black and noticed some options went up. For instance, Onyx Black Paint is now $495 option whereas is was only a $195 option on my Sierra I purchased back in Dec (built Sept).

See if your dealer will honor employee pricing if you factory order one. My dealer would not honor employee pricing for their inventory cars but they said they would for my factory order. However, they also don't mark up their cars so I don't know what dealers in SoCal would do since they're already greedy enough to mark up their cars...

Do you happen to know if those AT4s/Trail Bosses were fully loaded? It seems like most of the new AT4s coming out have little to no options with them because of constraints on Driver Alert and Technology Packages. When I looked at the inventory a month ago, most of dealers cars were fully loaded. Not anymore.

Especially the at-4 version, no dealer around me can keep them on the lots! It is by a far far margin Gm's most in demand version of the fullsize line, it's why they really should shelve the denalis and just make at-4's imo.

Yes and they sell every at-4 before it even touches their lots nowadays which is why they don't need denalis imo. That is just part content taking up resources that could go to something that sells like hot cakes. Denalis are not hard to find and locate around me sitting like a statue on dealer lots.

You know I have heard of brand fan boys and model fan boys, but never heard of trim level fan boys. Denali's have more features and content than AT4's and sell just as fast. Shoot, I think like half the Yukon line is Denali sales. Looking at Laura GMC there is an even split of AT4 and Denali half ton Sierra's on the lot right now. If I was spending bookoo bucks and didn't off road (which is dang near most of the AT4 buyers) I would get the model the rides the best and has the most features/content at that point.

What dealer did you go to?

socal is near impossible to find a dealership that will honor employee supplier codes. My guy said if GM removes the discount then I will not get the pricing. :( Luckily my order is delayed and June, GM removed all supplier pricing. =\ so thankfully my order will not come this month. Lol. Maybe in Oct. or Nov.

Haha I live in Texas so I went to Fredericksburg Chevy GMC out here in Hill Country. My order hasn't even been accepted yet because of constraints, and it's a small town near me so it's not a volume dealer or anything.

GM removed supplier pricing? I can still see it on the gmsupplierdiscount.com website though! I do know that GM lowered the manufacturer rebate this month (for Sierras at least) AND they reduced the military discount from like 3-4k to 500, which is honestly ridiculous.

that is ridiculous!! $500 for military? Smh.

GM removed all special pricing for June. My Denali will probably be a 22 or a late 21. Just hope they bring it back in time for delivery. This is getting pretty bad. :(

I wonder how much it is to ship to SoCal. Lol. But the likelihood of getting any good deal right now, is slim.

If you ordered a 2021 it won't get built as a 2022 as the orders do not convert over. It would be cancelled (by GM) and have to be reordered as a 2022.  But that said, they will be built 2021 through Sept 2021.

Haha I see, thanks! Looking at the window sticker they have no packages besides the dealer adding illuminated emblems, high clearance steps and underseat storage... Fingers crossed that those package constraints will be lifted soon, but I doubt it...
