Any upgrade packages available via software only?

This may be a stupid question, but here goes anyway...

 

I purchased a 21 Sierra 1500 Denali "base", really no additional packages other than what would come with the "standard" Denali package. Are there any additional features that can be activated with software upgrades - Technology Package? Driver Alert II?

Nope. Tech package has an entirely different upper dash for the HUD, specific windshield, different review mirror for the camera display, different third brake light to house the cameras.

 

Same story on Driver Alert II. Different switchgear, forward camera for lane keep assist. Heck, even the seat is different because it vibrates if you’re gonna wreck.

Thanks Reel; appreciate the quick response!  I assumed that would be the case, although I already have the vibrating seat which turns out to be helpful when parking in my garage .

If you go to gm.com>gmc>owners>accessories and enter year model etc (or your vin) it will give a list of accessories available for your truck.  

I don't think any will be software only, but you can see what they offer.

 

(fwiw, some of the 'factory' options shipped separately for dealer installation)

No, none of those items are just software.  Its hardware, wiring and software and not a plug and play operation.
