2022 Advanced trailering System Not available

Looking to buy 2022 LTZ 2500 with Advanced Trailering System. The dealer says the chip for the system isn't available but the window sticker says the option is on the truck. It is part of the price but not capable of all the advertised functions. They can't tell me what part if any of the functions will work now. They can't tell me if all the functions will work when the chips are available later. I want the truck but I need to know what I'm paying for and what I'm getting for my money. Any help will be appreciated.

Same thing happened on my 2021. You don’t get the trailer profiles, trailer tpms or the downward view in the backup cam. The last one is weird because it wasn’t another camera just a new crop of the same image. I had it on my 2020 and I wouldn’t say it was all that impressive. If you’re going to use the tpms it could be cool but I never got around to installing them on my trailer last go around. I miss the parking Lidar sensors more.

Got a link or the VIN to the truck you are looking to buy?

They tell me some of the functions won't work but they don't know which ones. They also can't tell me if a chip will be available later on that will activate all the functions. I guess I need to change dealers to see if someone else can give me better info.

The truck per the build sheet DOES have U1D advance trailering.  The Advance Trailering shortage mainly hit 2021 trucks while the one you are looking at is a 2022.  U1D Advance Trailering is also STANDARD equipment on LTZ and High Country.

Also to add, if the truck was built without it due to the shortage, the window sticker and the build sheet would not have it present.

Thanks for your info. Checked another dealer this morning and got the same story as the first. I guess they haven't been briefed on what they are selling. I will pay a deposit to hold the truck for when it comes in and get my money back if the ATS doesn't work properly.

This thread makes me question my truck...

 

I just bought a ‘21 AT4 a few weeks ago.  Window sticker shows Advanced Trailering (std on AT4), but I don’t show a U1D RPO code when I scan the QR code on the door sticker.  It didn’t come with the TPMS sensors for the trailer, but does have the “receiver” behind the license plate.  I was going to buy TPMS sensors but sounds like they may not work?  Nothing shows on the trailering screen for them, but I assumed that was because they aren’t there/nothing being sensed - thought once it sensed them being present it would show up, but maybe not?

The QR code doesn't always show every RPO code, it shows about 70-80% of them.  

 

Got the last 8 of your VIN?

U1D is on your build so yes you should be able to program trailer sensors to your truck no problem.

when you get to dealer start truck up and physically load it up and see if it works

I just purchased 2022 silverado. Window sticker says it has advance trailering system. I can't seem to find any reference to tpms anywhere. How do I know for sure if I have this feature?
