I just got a '22 LTZ Friday and have been trying to figure out why I could not lock or unlock at the back door.  Just saw this thread.  Went out and looked.  There are no buttons on my truck.  This sucks.  I am used to using all the doors on my old car.

I'm actually surprised some still don't have it, the one I looked at was a 2022 regular LT without leather and it had rear door buttons, leading me to assume that Chevrolet decided to put it back in. GMC never removed the rear door buttons while Chevrolet quietly removed it in the 2020 year. My 2019 RST has the buttons, it's nice to be carrying a lot of crap and not having to go to the front then to the back.

Yukon’s and Tahoe’s have had rear door buttons since 2015.
anyway I’m just curious was this due to money or China virus inventory issues ?

Started before the China virus so it was due to money. Started disappearing in the early 2020.
