trp34g Posted January 6, 2024 Posted January 6, 2024 How is it that there are so many posts on this topic from people who have a theory, say they will post with results, and never do. AFM/DFM/VVT and torque converter issues abound. No followthrough on these ideas is very disheartening. 1

But I do know that certain trucks were built without a certain chip and therefore were delivered with no DFM. Now, if I could just figure out which chip that is.
silveradosid Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 if you have the 2.7 turbo i can tell you that pulling those 2 fuses does not deactivate the afm . i drove my truck with gds2 hooked to it and watched the cam profile and it was still deactivating the 2 cylinders and i can feel it when it does it
Naughty Donkey Performance Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 With so many DFM deactivation devices why not just use one of them?
silveradosid Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 because i haven't found one that works on the 2.7

No DFM deactivation for refresh trucks 2022 & 1/2 and newer. They changed the electrical architecture. Range Technology is working on it but nothing available yet. 1
