Low rear speaker audio

I have also noticed the rear speakers in my crew cab have very little output. Maybe the truck is designed that way but I would prefer more sound coming from the back seat. The fader seems fairly useless as most of the sound comes from up front no matter how far I adjust the fader to the rear..

Granted my butt is normally planted in the drivers seat but I still would like to be able hear the rear speakers.

I was hoping to see what someone has done to resolve this. With the fade all the way to the back and the volume up, the sound is not only substantially lower than the fronts, but also not very full or clear. It is as though the speakers are not full range speakers and the tweeter is missing. Back seat passengers get a poor audio experience and I have to do a fair amount of adjustment to balance it and one would expect better from not only Bose, but a ~$60K pickup. Although not a deal breaker, it is annoying.

Have either of you two heard anything back from @GMCustomerService regarding the low output from the rear speakers? I am experiencing the same thing with a non-Bose infotainment center in my 2022 Silverado LT Crew Cab. Also, have you taken your trucks in and has the dealership been responsive with the low audio concern?

If "@GMCustomerService" was really interested they would contact me directly. I've seen them post this response to so many issues and never seen any follow up so it don't thing it's legit.

As far as taking it to my dealer, in some far off fantasy land dealers supply loaners when you have to leave your truck in the shop for service. When that fairy tale comes true I'll leave my truck at the dealer. Until then I'll hope someone in this forum comes up with an answer.

I have a 22 Trail Boss (Custom) and the rear speakers are low. I'll have the speaker settings even all the way around and you hardly hear anything from the rear (this is with people in the rear asking for more volume). Meanwhile the front speaker and tweets are blasting. Is this a radio programing issue ?

The answer is a dsp. I installed the audio control d-6.1200 in my truck, After Summing the rear with the dash and front door, I now have proper sound coming from my rear speakers, not the muffled garbage from the factory Bose settings.

I don't know why you guys think we should have a decent sound system in a truck that costs over $60,000.

Sorry, I just now saw this.

I got the audio control d-6.1200 and used the summing feature. It will combine the signals from the channels that you choose, which will allow you to send a full signal to the rear speakers and you can adjust the gain on each speaker pair.

If I'm not mistaken, the lc-6.1200 also allows you to sum the channels and is significantly cheaper.

There are other amps that you could use to accomplish the same thing, I just went with the d-6.1200

My 2019 Silverado Infotainment IOS 3.0 Non Bose System Rear Speakers sound like crap. Low Volume and distorted. I checked with my neighbor who has 2022 Silverado with Bose System and his sounds like crap also. Local Audio Dealer said he owns a 2018 Silverado and his is the same. He blames the Infotainment System itself. He told me if I changed out the Speakers, I would NOT get much (if any) improvement. I am going to change out the Infotainment System to a AUCAR 15.6" Android soon, hope this helps.
