Has any one figured this out this so frustrating I have a 2021 Chevy Silverado that came with out the multi flex gate I ordered a flex gate for this truck and it fits but the dealer does not know what do here. they said I need a new wire harness and that it will be really expensive to do this install, plus they said that Chevy wont give them the BCM programing. I cant be the only one facing this problem. does any one have any advice on this I don't know if I should give up on this. its driving me crazy I have been looking on the internet for answers on this and nothing  wam says that they don't have anything for this fix. any help would be much appreciated thanks

What trim do you have?

Which tailgate does it have currently?

QK1    Tailgate, standard

A60   Tailgate, locking, utilizes same key as ignition and door

QK2         NEW!  Tailgate, Multi-Flex, with six functional load/access features

QT2    Tailgate, gate function manual, no EZ Lift

QT5         Tailgate, gate function manual with EZ Lift, includes power lock and release

QT6         Tailgate, gate function power up/down with power lock and release

Unfortunately the dealer is telling the truth. If an option (like the pro gate) is not ordered from the factory. It can't be retrofitted unless an aftermarket programmer figures it out. It sounds like you have tried WAMS already. GM won't let the dealer "program" anything that is not authorized by them.

Just curious, how much would one of the Multi Flex gates cost? Seems like a pretty spendy add on.

It's pretty ridiculous how much I spent thus  far.I spent $1200 on a used flex gate mind you I still have to pay for the paint job and I might have to pay for a new wire harness why does GM make this so difficult

its crazy because they offer a flex gate for the Chevy silverrodo 2021 and that's what I have. I do have communication with a chevy technician  and surprisingly they are working with the Chevy authorized body shop on how they can fix it figures crossed but who knows

$260 option on my 2022 LTD LTZ

I'm glad my 2022 High Country has a regular gate.

I'm not a fan of the Multi Flex gates

So, I would guess 6 times that much to buy it outright. You save a lot in the long run buying a truck with the options you want already installed from the factory.

Congratulations on your new T1!!!

2 new trucks, congrats!   I see one is a LTZ LTD.  Is the High Country a LTD as well or refresh on order?

Nice man!

Any reason you didn't wait for the refresh?  Was it you got a good deal or in need of a vehicle right away?  Not judging, just asking.

Had to buy the LTZ to replace a truck.

I liked it enough to get rid of my super clean 2018 on 10.5" lift on 38's

and get the High Country.

The refresh isn't worth waiting for to me .

Same truck, different grille and a different dash that going to be a major distraction IMO.

I get distracted with all the bs in the current HC I don't need more.

On the other hand if I really like it I can wait until the dust settles and trade mine in.

The LTZ is staying in my driveway no matter though.
