Lt trim. Is your door trim the same in front and back?  Did I get a frankentruck?

I have the wood grain/sliver trim up front, but this black/smoke trim like so on the back doors.  Is this normal?

On the 2022 GMC 3500 HD Denali the trim is the same front and back... wood grain with brushed aluminum ( "silver" ).

OTOH, Chevy is known to be lower trim level quality in comparison to GMC or Buick models.

My '22 3500HD LT has the same trim front and rear.  This truck has leather bucket seats, and both convenience packages, which may or may not, make a difference.

Hth,

I wonder if you can change out those door trim pieces?  That is odd that it doesn't have same trim throughout.

You can. There is a kit that is 200 that will change out all 4 doors and the center console. It isn’t that important to me. Might scout some junkyards though.

Sounds like a plan.  Now I’m curious to see how they are changed out.  Mine are just the plain black, but would be nice for them to match center console and steering wheel trim.  Dangit this site strikes again; something else I’ll be looking into changing now.

Just use a plastic trim tool to pry and pop out. Then there is a plastic piece at the back that slides out.  It is easy. I vinyl wrapped my front doors and center console in about 30 minutes (including removing and replacing trim pieces.

That came out really nice.  Looking at your truck it is very comparable to mine, sans the leather.  So guessing the rear "wood grain applique" is based on the Leather Upgrade package.
