Just got a phone call from dealer saying GM isn't taking any more orders for the 2022 models for the 6.2l engine due to valve supplier constraint. I am not interested in the diesel so looks like my order is on hold until the 2023 books open and hope the constraint is fixed.

Right about now a updated 400 HP 5.3L would be awesome. 😁

My wife and I made an order for a 2022 LT Trail Boss 6.2L with the Trail Boss Premium Package and Black Out Package. My dealer told me the following is on constraint: Trail Boss model, 6.2L, Premium Package, Black Out/Accent Package basically my entire truck lol.

He never said why the 6.2 is on constraint but this makes me very worried my truck won't be made at all this year. He also said the diesel is on constraint with 0 allocations available in the US. I'm on a time constraint due to having to return to the office do you think my truck will be built at all this year?

Define “year”.

Model year 2022 is almost over. Though I don’t think a date has been said, 2023 orders and then shortly after, production, will start very soon.

So while you wont likely get a 2022 model year, your 2023 should without a doubt be built this calendar year.

Well I'm ok with 23' model year but not making the 6.2 like OP said has me pretty worried. I wonder what the chances are of the next 12 weeks

For the RST trim level, the order guide says   "Currently not available to order on Double Cab models. Requires 4WD model and (A50) bucket seats. Includes (N10) dual exhaust and (NQH) 2-speed transfer case".

Doesn't show as not available on the other Silverado trims it can be ordered for.

Doesn't show restrictions on the Sierra's.
