So you are really talking a 10-12k swing for comparable trucks.

The eighties and 90s I drove Rams and Ford trucks. Then the local ford dealer pissed me off with bad service. I switch to GM and Hyundai and never changed. The maverick looks interesting though, I’m going to drive one of those when the hysteria dies down

They are all good in their own ways My last ram was a 16 and last Ford was an 18, and now have a 21 Chevy. Just IMO but in terms of quality I felt like it goes Ford, GM, Ram. Ram makes some nice looking trucks, lots of innovation and paint colors just not the quality. GM makes good stuff but is just behind Ford. My 2018 XLT ford which is comparable to my 21 LT was just ahead in tech and so forth, which is sad as GM did a refresh in 2020 and the 18 I had was essentially 2015 tech, so in reality my 21 Chevy is comparable to 2015 Ford Tech and it still isnt as nice.

It’s interesting how peoples experience differ. My most rugged vehicle was a 91 3/4 ton Ram diesel. From day one it pulled 24K combination. It had some electrical issues otherwise we kept it around for years. We had injection and transmission problems with 90s 3/4 one ton Chevys. Our 7.3 Ford diesels were flawless some had banks kits. Our early mid 2000s Rams were heavily Modified one Ran 11s and daily drivers. By then I was back driving Chevy gas trucks. My brother traded in his Ram diesel for a Ram gas in 2010. He’s on his 3rd and they’re still at the shop. The oldest had a transmission at 200K that’s it. My father’s 98 Ram outlived him and is my mother’s back up. She refuses to trade in her 2000 7.3 one ton ford she drives daily. It has over 200K miles. I went through trucks every two years I did sales and training.

Most of my experience is post 2000 stuff and I dont keep things long Since 2007 Ive had these bought new unless noted 2007 Silverado 1500 2006 F250 Diesel Used 2008 F250 Diesel Used 2011 F150 Ecoboost 2014 Silverado 1500 2012 F250 Diesel Used 2016 Ram 1500 2015 F150 ecoboost 2018 F150 5.0 2021 2500 Diesel- current on the side I have had a 2010 Camaro and 2015 Challenger all bought new. Seems like a lot of trucks and it is, but that 2007 I had paid off and had a nice cycle of paying pennies and wheeling dealing for a while. Now days the last 4-6 years i get new every 2-3 years and

Now days the last 4-6 years i get new every 2-3 years and I was, am car crazy. First car 73 RX3 with the exception of a corvette I’ve owned at least one of every lettered or number car produce from the big three. One of the tri 5s and an American motor 1970 Javelin SST scat pack MD special. Mostly SSs Impalas and Novas. 2 holidays 88s one convertible like in the beginning of the show full house. The wife has had a few herself. Still has an Acura Intagra type R. Since the seventies driving lots of miles from day one a truck every two three years. Some packages like Texas StagedCoast, Texas Edition usually as leftovers with discounts. I almost always bought only discounted. Three exceptions 94 impala ss, 06 trailblazer ss, 01 intagra type r. Retired down to about 15K miles a year and insane vehicle prices I’ll slow down on buying new. My radar is on the maverick or Santa cruise. I read Toyota may play small truck too.

If his trend continues the opposite will happen. Sounds like a Biden move. Support a potential threat to the US instead of opening leases and put American back to work and get us less dependent on foreign oil. 2
