Lots of 2.7L engines reporting oil usage. Search the forum. Many other postings about the 2.7 using oil.

GM's "acceptable" oil consumption guidelines is so high that it guarantees GM will never have to fix any engine.

Yea unfortunately for GM and oil consumption it must be documented by the dealer for warranty.     The closer dealer was rude in telling you that they couldn't be of help IMO.   Go

Something to keep in mind when checking oil levels to monitor consumption is how GM says to do so, and this applies to all their engines.  I've got 6800mi on my 22 HO, have lost zero oil in this time
