Pretty cool ! I don't know if my eyes are still good enough to attempt  the small parts assembly. Would that be designed for RC cars/boats? Any idea on cost?

pre lube on cam and valvetrain leaves a lot to be desired.... 🤣

Yeah, looked like they just globbed on wheel bearing grease on the valvetrain.

Might be able to make it work that way, but it was water cooled rather than air so might be a bit heavy. It did incorporate some RC engine features tho, namely the pre-mixed fuel and glow plugs. As a stand alone model it might make a good Christmas gift for a young person that was interested in learning about ICE's or mechanical things in general if not outrageously expensive.

it looked like it had an oil pump but I don't recall them putting oil in it. Perhaps the valve train isn't pressure lubed

Looks like Ransom Olds first valve-train 1900 that had to be greased .  This kit engine does not have a oil sump that I can tell. At least Olds made fittings to be greased not globbed on....

Guys, this wasn't posted to bash it. It was posted because I thought it was cool. Sorry my mistake.

I expect that the cam chest was filled with "OO" grease which warmed to a bit over 100 F has the viscosity and fluidity of SAE 50W motor oil. British motorcycles employed this lubricant in the Albion three and four speed transmissions of the 30, to as recently at the early 2000's.

Clevite assembly lube and fueled on 20% Nitro RC fuel which provides the Castor based lubricant in a 'total loss' lubrication system. Pre WW1 tech that still works.

Pretty slick. 😱

Running art work is what that is. Thanks @dyier2 for sharing that!
