Want to swap OEM Tow mirrors for standard mirrors

Hi all,

I have a 2020 GMC Sierra AT4 with OEM tow mirrors. I hate the tow mirrors. I'd like to swap them for standard mirrors but the dealership gives me stupid looks when I ask. They tell me they don't see a kit in their system to do this - that they don't know what kind of harness is in the truck and therefore don't know what part to order. Does anyone know anything about this? I have to think this is possible. I'd like power folding, heated, puddle lights and compatible with the 360 degree camera system.

They may be correct. I wanted to replace my OEM mirrors on my 2019 Sierra to tow mirrors. Four different dealers told me there was no kit available for that. I did more research and found out they were correct. There is a thread from 2020 on this site. Don't remember exactly where. You can do a search.

I think technology has gone too far when you have to buy a different truck in order to change to or from towing mirrors.

There is only one small mirror available from GM for the HD trucks and its just heat, power glass and manual fold.

They have what you want on the 1/2 ton trucks but the mirrors and doors are different on the HD trucks vs. the 1/2 tons and can't be mounted on each other because of this.

But I don't have an HD truck. Its a 1500 AT4. I know the mirrors exist - but the dealer doesn't seem to know what the harness looks like. I'm hoping someone has an idea of what kind of harness is involved and if a smaller mirror will work.

Where are you located? I also have a 1500 AT4 with all the listed options. I wish I could trade for tow mirrors!

Oh lol. I was in the HD section before my reply so disregard lol.

84898870 and 84898871 are the two mirrors you need. You will also need 84328136 mirror cap kit. Should be able to re-use the door harnesses.

No kit, the mirrors are sold individually.

@newdude Success! I ordered those mirrors and the swap was pretty simple and everything works great! I do have one issue - it looks like the 360 vision is off and needs to be perhaps calibrated to the new mirrors so the picture is stitched together a little better. Any idea how to do that?

Also, I now have a pair of OEM tow mirrors for a 2020 Sierra AT4 (power folding, heated, blind spot monitor 360 vision) for sale. Truck only has 25k miles. Any idea what they're worth?
