Sonders Posted March 20, 2024 Author Posted March 20, 2024 Sweet, glad you were able to find one for descent price. Mine hardly ever gets used; I always seem to be climbing in the bed from passenger side for some reason haha. 1
rdonarski Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 I use mine all the time. I pulled a muscle in my leg last year. It bothered me for about 6 months. I wouldn't have been able to get in or out of the box w/o it.
Chevyspeedster Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 I know it's an old thread, but ebays got a bunch for around $90-$100. Just make sure you get one with the mounting bracket and hardware. Should be good to go. https://www.ebay.com/itm/326300905430?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=jOf8Hq_fShe&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=671WBU8RTAW&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
revrnd Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 I'm surprised @ the need for 1. I'm 63 & 6' 2" & just use the stake pockets as a hand hold & the bumper recesses as a step. When I saw the K2XX the rear stake pockets w/ an angled side in addition to the redesigned bumper, I thought, "Someone who has actually used a truck was thinking".

At 75 and 5' 5", things get tougher. Edited November 16, 2024 by rdonarski 1

ManyCamaroz Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 (edited) I had a rental GMC Sierra this week and it had one. I liked it so I may look for a decent deal on one bought one on eBay for $97 shipped. My truck has the threaded hole. FWIW, for those that don't have the one threaded hole, I don't see why a Rivnut/Nutsert wouldn;t work. Has anyone tried that? Edited November 26, 2024 by ManyCamaroz 1
ManyCamaroz Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 (edited) I ordered this one last Saturday, it shipped from NJ and arrived today in TX. Installation took less than 10 minutes. It was well packaged, included all of the necessary hardware and appeared to be new and not previously installed. I have the Retrax MX Pro retractable tonneau cover and the railing partially covers the stake pocket so this makes getting in and out much safer and easier as well as reducing the risk of breaking a finger or two if I was to loose my balance with my fingers in the stake pocket when climbing in or out.
