Totally shocked at this one, was excited to remove the big sliver Silverado door moldings today.  But as I started to pull back I noticed there were those darn white body clips with holes in the door itself.  Seriously wtf chevy, talk about a major let done.  Guess there staying on.   Painting the lower running boards today to remove some of the "to much" chrome.

Then why buy the top end model with all the trim? Plast-dip the trim.

Sure ok, but that is how you get other options as well. That trim should be a stick on not extra holes in the door itself.

Too many years of them falling off being taped that's why they went a more permanent route.

And, probably too many owners removing emblems they want for brand and model identifications.

Painting them makes a lot of sense.  Its in such and unusual spot I personally think it looks silly. Its actually not on the side like they normally are its under the flat part of the door which is odd.  Removed them yesterday and put 1" black vinyl wrap across for now.  Can't even see it and it looks so much better.

Ended up used some 1.0 x.125" alum from HomeDepot and wrapped with 3m 2" glossy black wrap, then used 1" double sticky tape to cover the holes.  Happy with it thus far, have to do the other side, its a lot of work wrapping to get all the air out.  Rest was easy.  Getting closer lol

Side mirrors are easy, just buy GM black painted caps and swap them.

Everything is blacked out except for the grill, also remove the old man auto running boards.  Also swapped out the alum trim piece I made with a 1 3/16" vinyl trim I found on eBay  Happy with it, just want to do something with the exhaust and different tires / wheels.  I like the factory 22's but not sure what tires I could swap out to.  Looking for a street tire.
