About The Weather Channel In-Vehicle App

The Weather Channel In-Vehicle App, available through your vehicle’s infotainment system, lets you check current local weather conditions, detailed forecasts (hourly and five-day), Severe Weather Alert notifications and radar maps. Forecasts and Severe Weather Alerts can be read out loud through the app to help you keep your eyes on the road.

 

To download The Weather Channel In-Vehicle App, you must have an eligible Connected Services plan. A data connection is required.

Thanks, but this info does not apply to 2022 and up, refreshed trucks. The new 13" widescreen infotainment somehow has fewer apps that the last trucks did.

OK, so for 2022+ refresh trucks, apparently you can't even download it (even if you have a connection / wifi plan).

I do not believe so, I tried this weekend, no options that I can find, the 19 it showed up as an option to download, 23, not there.

Yea, I have been trying to figure out how to load up third party .apks to install other android apps. So far I can't do it. I think I'll have to wait until someone figures out how to jailbreak the system or a file explorer app is available on the play store.
