Perhaps I have missed this in prior conversations concerning the 10 speed behind the gasser.

That price doesn't make sense to me.  I know that newdude is of course telling us the truth.  But seriously????  One of the main reasons I bought our 22 was because it had the old reliable 6L90E.  And I looked it up to have it replaced if needed off warranty and it was like 3500 bucks.  Of which I thought ok, that's doable.  So I'm thinking in my tiny brain that the 10 speed is going to be at least double that....I was wrong again apparently...

Just because it has more speeds doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better. Maybe there is a reason the old six speed is more. Companies are always trying to cheapen stuff up but making it seem better.

Time will tell.  My hopes of course is that 10 speed turns out to be the reliable game changer.

Yeah because it’s not changing, so if you ever want a new GM, it’s gonna have a 10spd, and faaaaancy dancy screens

Still not happening. I love my truck!!  😀  At this point half of you all would have a major heart attack or stroke if I actually went out and bought a new one.... LOL!!!

For ****** and giggles would it be possible to swap the 6 for the 10?

Would need programming am sure and a different torque converter?

Not a mechanic so not exactly sure how it works

Mechanically it bolts up and would spin. Electronically it would be a nightmare. 24s run on a completely different programming architecture (Global B). The ECM, TCM and every other *CM of a 20-23 would not be having it.

Of course, I actually would have been shocked if it did, but never know
