Yup, original order placed January 2022, got cancelled from GM to re-order as a 2023 in August 2022.  Stop order on 2023's happened in November 2022 for 2024 changeover.  I havent re-ordered a 24 yet due to to stupid interest rates.  So I am waiting now for the market to soften to lessen the financial blow to my trade-in depreciation and increased new truck cost.  I am fortunate in that I dont need a truck for business or as a daily.  So, I can wait this out a bit longer if need be.

Yuck. Yeah I'm in no rush either, I am planning to wait for however long it takes to get the truck I want but…"never" is not an acceptable timeframe lol

I don't understand why they bother offering certain options when they're not at all prepared to provide trucks built with those options to more than like five people.

Who knows, I know the dealerships dont either.   I understand the turmoil during the scamdemic, and subsequent supply chain issues.  I would think this should start shaking itself out in the coming months.  Fewer people are buying, and GM has to produce, so the scales "should" start tipping in our favor.  But, supply chain is still an issue across many industries so the return to "normal" will be a slow one.

Ordered 5/25, delivered 8/9

I got the max tow option as well which gives you the 3500 frame, springs, etc. PXL_20230813_003056513.thumb.jpg.84791b6465e94a5df85d8cee405e621e.jpg

I have the exact same truck on order!  Glad to see they are out there.  Still waiting, been about three months so hoping to hear something soon

Looks good!  I think my order is the same truck and it's getting to my dealer this week.  I am sorta bummed about the animated taillights though to be honest.  It was actually a selling point of the package.

Stupid question - but is there anywhere online to see what the animated tail lights look like?

I used to have a video of it I found on Youtube that I sent to the dealer, but it shows that it's no longer available.  So I guess nope not anymore.  All the videos I can find are for the headlights.

I was more bummed that the reverse and tag lights are incandescent. SMH, led replacements on the way!

Taillight type depends on trim

(incandescent/led/led animated)

I am aware, but also on availability. I have a pretty well loaded LTZ. The rest of the light is LED. Only the reverse bulbs and tag lights are incandescent.

Wait, the LTZ taillights are NOT fully LED? I thought they were...

They are LED, with the exception of the reverse light. It is an incandescent bulb. I have already ordered led replacements for them.

Wuuuut, that sucks. I was convinced I was getting a superior lighting setup with Chevy over Ford because Ford's tail lights are not LED, but their reverse lights ARE. I guess it's not a big deal to upgrade either one (tail bulbs or reverse) but having LED reverse lights stock is more important to me 🫤
