I have abandoned all hope of find a Silverado RST with max tow package near me and have finally resolved myself to ordering one. Anyone know off the top of their head how the strike may affect new orders? Assuming as long as their is a strike, no new trucks... sad face.

When my brother and i moved our parents into ALF's, we had to clean out the house. My brother hit the jackpot box that contained my dads orders of cars he bought. He found the order form for his 1961 Impala 2 door Bubbletop and his 1963 C10. I think it might be kinda neat to piece that one together and frame it, put next to my order for my Silverado.

So far for GM one assembly plant (GM Wentzville) is stopped working, and then all of the GM CCA Parts distribution centers are stopped.  No other plants are stopped (...yet...).

If GM can't strike a deal ASAP, UAW will only make this worse I'm sure.

Wentzville builds Colorado/Canyon and Express/Savana

Ft Wayne, Silao and Oshawa build 1500 pickups

Flint and Oshawa build HD pickups

Arlington builds full size SUV

Oshawa only does Silverado, and (not positive about this part) perhaps only crewcab

There are alot of Silverados for sale around me. (Minneapolis area). I do not know about max tow availability. Chevrolet is currently advertising 0% APR, $750.00 off and no payments for 90 days on RST. If you would like assistance you can P.M. me.

Max Tow (NHT) is (currently) only available on sold orders (not available on stock orders) so if there are any NHT trucks they must have been 'sold' orders that the customer decided not to accept.

Logistics in Flint is already hampered, its only a matter for time before production slows dramatically or ceases.

Does anyone know the reason why they stopped making the Max Tow available with the 3.0L?  When I was getting ready to order a loaded up RST, the order wouldn't go through unless I changed to one of the gas options.  The 3.0L was a priority so I had to go on a mad dash around the country to find something in stock in my color and preferences.  Unfortunately, I had to settle for a truck without many of the options I wanted like the 360 camera, leather, sunroof, etc.  The dealer tried to get some feedback, and he got nothing, but heard that the combo might not come back?

I've actually been considering selling this new one just to get what I really wanted but you still cannot order the 3.0L with the Max Tow.  Obviously the strike is going to screw things up for a while.  But, naturally this makes me a little concerned about this combination depending on the reason and future outlook.

The order guide for 2024 Silverado 1500 (it's updated weekly and seems to be more accurate that the design/build system) still shows NHT is available on RST with the 3.0.

Maybe dealer still had 'stock order type' (SRE) selected instead of selecting 'sold order type' (TRE)??

Note 1 is for 1LT level of LT

Note 2 is for RST

Note 3 is for LTZ

Note 4 is for HC

NHT is not available on other 1500 Silverado trims

I can't tell you what they were doing in the ordering system, but ever since Spring, there is no way to to configure a RST with the 3.0L and the Max Tow.  Still to this day, 6-7 months later, it still cannot be configured.  I'd have a error code on a sheet that the dealer provided, but I cannot produce it immediately.  It's good to hear that the combo is still listed on the guide, but it's just not orderable. If you try, it forces you to one of the gas engines.
