I saw the 2024 Silverado 1500 6.2 now has an active dual exhaust. Is this something that could possibly be added to a 2023 1500 6.2 somehow. What might be needed if there is some way to add it?

You will need the mufflers, which is usually the most expensive part, and then some stand alone controller.  Given that this be been done for other GM platforms with active exhaust I am going to guess just waiting till one of those owners that likes to experiment to give it a try.  Happened with other platforms.

It should be a direct bolt-on installation wise.  However, programming it into your truck will be a PITA unless you wire your own controller.

It would probably be far cheaper to get an electric cutout for your exhaust.

Based on how the Dual Mode exhausts work on the Camaro and Corvette, I would not expect the wiring for this to be possible. Besides the wiring harness itself needing to be in place, there would be various programming changes to allow for the valves to be open at start, close afterward, change with driving mode, etc. that is almost certainly NOT going to be possible. I know that it absolutely can not be added to the Gen6 Camaro and that car has been using the same internal control modules and programming since 2016...

I figured out a way to control the valve. About 50 bucks worth of parts from Amazon and I can fully close the flap, fully open, or stop in any position along the way.

How does it work?

It a PWM signal generator with a few other simple resistors and transistors. When I apply 12v to the valve with a ignition switched source, the valve is wide open, when I want it quiet for towing, etc, I activate the PWM controller, and you can fully close the flap or leave it half open- whatever you like for sound
