2024 HD2500 Power Tailgate help needed

My power tailgate goes down but will not go up on its own. I have watched all the videos to see how it’s done, no luck.  Do any of you have a quick fix?

Did it have it before and stoped working? My '24 LTZ with the multifex does not have this capability (just unlock and fold down) and from what I understand only certain optioned out 2024's have this.

If you have the multi-flex, pretty sure you don’t have power up.  I specifically ordered without the multi-flex because I wanted the power gate and didn’t want extra door jambs to clean.  

 

What methods are you trying to close the gate?  Maybe a bad switch or motor?

Do you actually have the power up/down gate?  The basic "power" gate has the push button to release it, and then just uses a slow drop torsion bar to go down.  

 

The power up/down gate has an assist motor that controls up and down functions.  To go up, you can simply start to raise the gate and it will catch and rise.  You can also command it from the fob and I think the button on the dash, and also by pressing the release button on the gate.  

 

If you have the flex gate, it works like the power release gate so release button, electric latches, torsion bar drop.

press and hold the button on the keyfob to raise it.  Lower is just a single press but raise, you need to hold.  Assuming you have the power up AND down function.

multi flex does not have power up and only LT (option pkg) and up trims have power up I believe.

 

personally rather have the multi for 2500, but do have power up feature
