Does the door chime and turn signals sound OK with the Pioneers?

Heard others complain about it with aftermarket speakers.

If you don’t use the crossovers is what I think then you will have normal sound for the chimes and blinkers. I didn’t use them and it still sounds great. There was another member on here that put the crossovers in with the dash speakers and it flagged a can/bus communication code and killed  the output to the speakers. Once he removed crossovers he was able to clear the code and have sound again. His truck was a 2023 RST like mine and that electrical and communication system is global B plate form which is new. Change was in the refresh (2022.5 and up)l am to understand ,so that’s why I didn’t use the crossovers in mine. Metra 72-4573 are the speaker harnesses for the front dash speakers . Please don’t cut the factory connectors out! I really I have a lot better sound now but now I need more volume so later I’m adding an amp and dsp To the system .

You can hear the highs? The tweeter works?

I can hear them compared to the factory! Huge difference, but that doesn’t mean they are huge louder. They are louder but it’s more clear. When I get the kenwoods kfc-c2c and compare them I’ll let you know what I think is better for the mids and highs. The significant improvement in the highs and mids was the door speakers with the dash speakers , they complement each other.  Rears are just a filler, I used Polk db552 and they are a great speaker. The only reason I used them is because I had them new in a box , I ordered for another project and didn’t use them. I felt guilty returning them to crutchfield( they are such a nice company, they will bend over backward to help you ) so I just kept them. The Bose doesn’t send much power to the rear speakers.

Mine is a 2023 High Country so I'm sure it's the same.......I will leave out the crossovers also.

The Axxess AXDSPX-ETH1 is one solution to bypass factory bose amp. Has a dsp for all channels and lets u control chimes, etc.

If you do use the crossover do you loose those sounds?

I see Crutchfield is out of stock.....bummer. I have points I can use there.....

Following these posts, The Pioneer 2.75" # TS-A709, I found is the only available 2.75"  2 Way (added super tweeter). Want to put these in my '24 HD Ultimate Dash Corners, to brighten the system up even more.

Does anyone have pix of the dash pad removal on a '23-'24 Denali, to get to these speakers ?

The Bose speaker sound quality and construction, are a Super Let Down. The door Bose door speakers are a Paper Cone in a Moisture Prone Cavity, not a composite Polymer Cone, moisture resistant, as All the  Aftermarket Quality speakers I see. These Bose also a tiny magnets. Same for the rear doors. These look like Auto Parts Store Generic El-Cheapo replacement quality, not what I'd expect from Bose. Bose / GM Branded, GM Supplied Speakers, Bose just licensed the Speaker Grill Logo's ??

The Tweeters in the "A" Pillars and Denali Bose tweeters in the top of the rear doors, I think would be the same. I just pulled my Driver "A" pillar. Pic attached. They as the door speakers, do not say Bose on the Magnet Structures, or anywhere else on them.

You see a small Yellow Capacitor, that acts as the Crossover, to block the Bass frequencies, from blowing this tiny speaker. It is a 4 Ohm, 20 watt rated. Can barely hear it, with the Terrible 3 Band  EQ. Treble cranked to 100% . This also should at least be a 11 or More Band EQ., to Fine Tune this so called Premium Bose System.

This could be fixed with a Software Infotainment Upgrade, if the Ostrich(s) in charge get the head(s) and ears(s) out of the sand.

My '03 Tahoe Z-71 Bose system sounded incredible , compared to this garbage I have now. I should explain, I have been a pro performing and recording musician, over 50 years, using just about every high end gear there is. Why I am so let down with this Mortgage Payment truck and "Ultimate Sound System".

This "A" Pillar Tweeter is glued into the black plastic housing that snaps into the Grill Bezel (which is heat welded into the "A" Pillar white cover). So a replacement has to be held onto the grill housing with 2 or 3 dabs of silicone adhesive.

I do have the Bose system. A friend said the tweeter on the Pioneer dash speakers don't play. He bought two sets. Returned both.

(@traderfjp), Did he use the supplied crossover networks ?  If so, that cold have double blocked an already "Divided" source signal, and changed the Ohms, to Mute the Pioneer replacement.

(@Mshaun), reported these work great. Don't think he used the Pioneer crossover.

I also posted wanting to replace the "A" Pillar Tweeters, in my '24 Bose system. Looks a bit more to fit a 3/4 or 1" Dome tweeter in that existing mount, but do-able.  I posted pix of it I took today, and the tweeter nowhere says Bose on it, but it does have a Yellow Capacitor on it, that is the Crossover, to block the Low Frequencies from blowing it.

The Pioneer TS-A709, 2-3/4" 2 Way for the Dash corners do look to be a great improvement over stock ones.

Exactly what Darthborg78 said! You will need an amp to power the speakers and subwoofer. The headunit won’t supply enough power to get the most out of new speakers. Add a LOC/DSP with the amp and you’ll be set! Replacing the speakers without an amp will add some clarity but the music will be missing that vibrant sound since the speakers will have very little power powering it. Also, don’t go to any car audio place. Find a place that does custom builds/3d printing since they offer higher quality work. I went a little crazy with my set up, its on my profile if you want to see 9apps

    • Here's the second UOA on my 22 Wrangler with the Ecodiesel. This has 5k miles on AMSOIL Signature Series DEO 5w-40. The first one was dealer installed oil, no clue what it was, the second is what AMSOIL recommended, European FS 5w-40, Most of the Ecodiesel world is showing great results using the European MS 5w-40, I figured I would see how the DEO works. This is using an Ecoguard oil filter. It's my understanding this engine likes to shed aluminum.  We will see. So far I don't think this is too bad.
    • I'm surprised nobody seems to offer a solution like the start/stop device I put in my new truck. Remembers my setting when shutdown. And while it still starts up in start/stop, it stores/evaluates what mode it was in when shut down and will change it whithin a second or 2 of startup. It'd be nice to have something like that for the DRLs.
    • 2015 Sierra 1500 here. Leaks from the sunroof to front driver side and soaks carpet. How do I fix this? Thanks!
    • I will be doing that for sure, but I need to solve who has/ where I can find a bidirectional scan tool that will support OBD 1.5. I'm kicking myself because I ebay'ed a Snap On MT2500 that I didn't think I'd ever need anymore. D'oh!! I'd rather not buy another, so I'll contact a few local shops to see if they have one and how much they'd want to do the procedure. I'd rather have the ability to do it myself... I wish there was a modern tool that could do it all, but I'd have no idea what to buy.   The theory with the pulled timing is that it mimics a rich condition. The delayed spark causes incomplete burn and the O2 sensor picks up low oxygen levels. That's interpreted as a rich condition so the PCM pulls fuel and that shows up in the deeply negative fuel trims.
    • An ultra wealthy man had the most beautiful daughter. But, there was a problem. Everything she touched would melt in her hands. No matter what, Metal, Wood, Stone. Anything she touched would melt. She could not feed herself. Because of this, men were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her. Her father was despaired. What could he do to help his daughter? He consulted doctors, scientists and anybody who could solve this problem. Finally one of them said, "If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in her hands, she will be cured." He was overjoyed and came up with a plan. The next day, he held a competition. Any man who could bring his daughter an object that would not melt in her hands would be given billions of dollars to marry her. Three extremely intelligent and handsome young men took up the challenge. The first brought a very heavy steel rod, But alas, when the she touched it, it completely melted in a matter of seconds. He sadly went away. The second brought a beautiful diamond, knowing diamonds were one of the hardest substance in the world and would not melt. But alas, once she held it in her hand, it melted. He too was sent away disappointed. So now, there was one left He was very nervous & sweating. He approached the daughter & said, “put your hand in my pants pocket and feel what is in there." She did exactly what he asked. She felt something very hard. She held it in her hand, squeezing it as hard as she could. It did not melt & remained extremely hard. Her father was overjoyed. Everybody was overjoyed. She was finally cured. Nothing never, ever melted in her hand again. They married and they both lived happily ever after, raising a wonderful family. Question: What was in the the groom’s pants pocket??? Answer below ↓ M&Ms of course! They melt in your mouth, not in your hand. What on earth were you thinking?
