Cheekster96 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Howdy everybody! Everybody survive the holidays? I have owned Big Red now for a little over a year now and going into the 2nd winter with it up here in Northern Maine. I try to keep the salt off of it as much as possible and drive the old Ford farm truck when it is crappy outside. I noticed that my MBRP black matte exhaust tip is starting to rust. I tried to scratch the spots away with my fingernail but it did no good. Too cold outside (10F) to really clean it. Not too overly concerned but it did raise an eyebrow. Haven't crawled under the truck to examine the rest of the exhaust...that can wait till Spring. Still loving Big Red...still loving the MBRP cat back exhaust. Stay safe everyone. Lee 1

Lee I'm sure it's no big deal. Anyhow enjoy the county and big Red!!
BuckWallace Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 Rust on the tip? Time to trade it in, RIP Big Red. 2
slj2008 Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 One can of Black Paint or Power coating - LOT Cheaper then NEW Truck . Unless You want a NEW Truck $$$$$$$
Pryme Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 Only way it’s not gonna rust is if you got SS exhaust. You could hit it with some extreme temp vht black paint in the spring. Would probably work for awhile
