Greetings fellow members. I own a 2020 Silverado 1500 LTZ crew cab Z-71 with the stock Z-71 suspension. It’s going on 4 years old soon. The rancho shocks are getting tired. What would the forum members recommend for a replacement? I prefer to keep the stock ride height. It’s my daily driver. I went to some suspension website and I saw Bilstein and Fox have 4 shock/strut kits starting around $1000. Is that what I should expect to pay for a set of good quality shocks? If I left any details out please let me know.

They have good comparisons between Fox 2.0 IFP's and the Bilstein 5100's for how you want it to feel. Both are able to retain stock heights based on where you put the circlip and both are valved properly. You will be happy with both over stock. Fox's a bit softer, but controlled. 5100's will be more firm/sporty, better for towing.

I just put Bilstein 5100's on all four corners of my 2022 LTD. I set the front at 1.5" and lifted the rear 1" using an OEM block. Gave the truck a better stance overall IMHO.

I've run Bilstein 5100's for years on various different trucks. I enjoy the ride they provide, and the flexibility of the ride height adjustable struts.

You can use 5100's at stock height. Or the Bilstein 4600 is a non-adjustable cousin that would be stock ride height as well.

I used shocksurplus.com to purchase mine this most recent set. But https://www.suspensionlifts.com/?gad_source=1 is honestly better pricing and more info.

Good luck.

I went from the stock Ranchos (junk imo) to some new take-off DSSV's. Night and day difference.

Not sure if you have a 2" factory lift? My AT-4 does and the Multi-Matics bolted right up.

I have also got bilstein 5100s on all 4 corners they are great way better handling all around a great shock and strut. I just got the front done in January but I had the rear for about a year and they are awesome. I set the front at max height and got a 2 inch block for the rear. But you can indeed run it at stock height if that's what you like.  I have a 2020 silverado ltz 6.2. The front ones were really well used with over a 100k kms on them. I got them on gbp performance because it's Canadian website.

For sure I was gonna go with the 6112s but then I saw your YouTube video and that help me decide the 5100s I might upgrade to fox or kings in the future when I won't be using my truck for much towing. I'm also thinking about getting cognito upper control arms too.

Going with Rancho RS7MT (linear piston) They also have a 15% off right now. Similar to Blistein 5100 (digressive piston) but a little softer. Either mono tube will be better than the stock AT4 Rancho twin tube. But all depends on what your usage is…
