I have a 2015 Chevy Silverado LTZ 4 door. My passenger side floor gets wet when it rains, wash the truck.... There are water stains in my headliner, poured some clean water down the right front sunroof drain and the water came out from the bottom right side of the dash inside the truck. I blew 80 PSI (if the blow gun is regulated I don't know what the real PSI is) air down the drain with a rubber tipped blow gun, I put a rubber hose on the tip of the blow gun and ran the hose down as far as it would go down the drain hole; no dice. I can hear the air escaping down under the dash, like the drain is broken open or the end of the drain is near by but remains hidden. I ran a wire down the drain, it goes in about 36" (somewhere near the spot the A pillar and body meet) and can hear the wire when I shake it, the wire stops right there, like there was a corner in the drain... Bought a snake made to clean out sun roof drains, goes so far in and stops. Anybody got any wisdom for me please?

What kind of vehicle do you have?

Two things come to my mind as possibilities.  The front drains go down the A pillars (one on each side) and then have a grommet that attaches to the cowling sheetmetal behind the dash.

- One of the hoses may have popped out and is draining into the truck.  If this is the case, the entire dash panel has to be removed to access and repair the drain hose.  Now, is it possible to remove the upper defrost panel/speaker grille assembly and pull the speaker out on the side that's leaking?  Honestly, no idea, but its likely if you can't see the hose, then yes the whole dash has to come out.

-  If the hoses are connected properly, it could be water intrusion from some cowling seams.  Read here - temp.xml (oemdtc.com)

I don’t think my avalanche saw rain before me. So the first time it rained it leaked. I don’t care about the sun roof so I sealed it with clear sealant. That was 4 years ago.
