My Sierra’s bumper to bumper warranty is about to expire and I got an email about the gmc protection plans. Does anybody have any experience with them, good or bad?  Just curious if it is a true bumper to bumper extension?  Attached is screenshot of the email I got.

Statistically you are better off to put money aside in an 'Emergency Vehical Repair Fund' that you can either use to repair your truck or spend on something else (like a new truck' should you not need it.  If they lost money on them, manufacturers would not offer extended warranties.  Unless you need the peace of mind, your money is better in your pocket than theirs in my opinion.

No experience with using one of those extended warranties … but someone that actually used it would be good info.

If I had a new diesel with 10 speed,  may be so inclined.

It also depends on cost and coverages.

I bought the GMCPP when I bought my truck due to lack of knowledge on the diesels and considering the cost for troubleshooting/repairing the new electronic systems. I know this is minor but my windshield washers stopped working so I took it in and they replaced the nozzles due to buildup.

I also bought it for the wife's CTS-VSport. The QUE screen went out so I took it in. They ordered it and replaced it. While it was there they did a routine inspection and noticed the exhaust Y pipe had a crack at a joint. I didn't even know it. They ordered the QUE screen and y pipe and replaced it.

I will say this... they will (or have for me) negotiated the cost unless you jump on it first offering,
