Hi Fellas

Probably going to have a few questions concerning things to do with our new purchase , We bought a 2024 2500 HD 6.6 Gas Custom Trim Level

#1    Brother in Law likes the truck a lot but thinks it would even look better with a leveling of the front end to get rid of the slope . What does this entail ?

Is it expensive ? Does GM have a kit to do this or do you go aftermarket ? Does it  affect the warranty ?

#2 What do you think of getting a n3M film application on the grill and bumper as someone told me it prevents rock chips to  the soft paint ? does that have anything to voiding any warranty ?

#3  Want to get some sort of rust protection for the underside , Thinking about a form of a Lanolin based product . What do you recommend ?

#4   Firstly will be a spray in box liner . Probably Linex ? Have any of you got this done if so what level did you get ?

Thanks !

Do not do a leveling kit. These trucks are designed to have a load in the back which will level it out when loaded, whether it a big trailer or a box full of stuff. It could affect warranty if it’s shown to have caused a problem with your truck.

I’ve had no rock chips on the front of my truck. Now my car on the other hand. That’s has tons. That’s personal preference.  Certainly won’t hurt your warranty.

I used fluid film and applied it myself to things other than the coated frame. Some reports said fluid film strips the wax off and that’s false at least on my truck because I tested it on a couple spots on the waxed frame and there is zero change in the wax. Just gets shiny.

mine came with the factory spray in but lineX is the go to out there pretty much aftermarket.

LED headlights and reverse lights, bedliner and I dont mind the slope.....if you crank on the torsion bars it will stiffen the ride a bit for leveling, its meant to have a slope for trailering purposes, the weight levels it out

rubber floor liners......

get some nice seat covers youll be glad you did. lots to choose from vertex and cat skin are top notch.

Put 3k pounds in the bed, no more slope!

With 2 people and the crap I keep in the bed, ARE cap and stuff under the rear seat, I'm a little over 1k pounds over curb weight.

there are a ton of them, I used seal light but lasfit and a million others out there to choose, again you can check out topics in this site, YT, and the list goes on and on

mine were specifically for halogen housing and I had to aim them down but never was flashed and was better than stock for sure......wasnt about to dump 2k into an LTZ housing.....the reverse light were nice as well....I have them in my High country currently

everyone has there brand they swear by, I just wanted better lighting

dont need the LT with controls on the wheel for trans temp....Ive seen Customs with it by using that dial, all the stuff in an LT is same just one is an LED screen with wheel controls and the other is a dial......should be fairly straightforward......turn the dial or press it in and the turn, has to be there

Thank Dunn and 64BAwagon !

I have figured out the transmission temp readout . I had by passed the readout while turning the extended dial knob .

I fI read correctly in the Owners manual GM does not recommend replacing halogen headlight  bulbs with LED's ?

Officially they dont,  but from a practical standpoint I swapped mine on both of my 3500HD's and never had an issue. If you buy from a reputable place like Lasfit (sign up on their website and wait, they will send you discount codes) and you stay with a reasonable lamp you should be okay. I had to aim mine down after I installed them. Not sure how picky the mounties are about headlamps mods though. 😎

Going to order the Husky Mud flaps on Prymes recommendation . Seems like the plastic Husky rear wheel liners are probably a good thing as well . Also thinking of possibly painting the front tow hooks red for a little contrast , Any one do that ? Does it look better ?
