Once again out of the blue you try to insult me. I’ve been playing golf all day minding my own business. Maybe no one is paying attention to you today. I’ll have to spend a few minutes checking today’s post out. Probably almost all about oil.🥱🥱🥱

Yup, I was right. Oil, Oil, Oil. 🤪🤪🤪 Have fun. Tomorrow I’ll be playing cards. 👏👏👏

Just took me a while to respond to your stupid comment about wisdom, education, and smart people.  You like all MAGA dicks are insecure.

I went back and read what you and Atlas seemed to feel the need to take out of context. I had to laugh. Science is Science right. One they call a practice. Pages and pages of arguments over oil for longevity? Or something else? But the mere mention that it may be a good idea to get a second opinion for the human body. Doing so you throw the whole profession in the toilet? I have no bad experiences with oil. Never lost an engine, gained life with Amsoil in hydraulics. Have related that experience. I’ve had bad experiences with doctors. Some were incompetent. Only personal investigating saved the day. Related the experience. I only relate experience. Bad oil never. Better oil yes. Good doctor yes. I’ve had the same one for 30 years. Bad doctors yes. One almost killed my daughter. And my wife. So say getting a second opinion is probably a good idea. I’ve earned the right.

It is interesting how people form differing opinions.  Two people can read or hear the same content and interpret differently.  This is common and serves as a basis of conflict or conversation.  Sometimes we just accept that we exist together while having different opinions on some topics/issues.

It is interesting for sure. However in these turbulent times of facts becoming relativistic opinion older wise folks need to speak up for the dignity of truth.
Silence of the older generation is allowing the younger to get screwed.

Calling out ignorance with bombastic replies to absolute travesty is required to shake up the status quo and it’s not pleasant at times.

This reads like a t*ump tweet. Trailing off into dementia and arguing with the wind.

Nobody said getting a second opinion is a bad thing.

Fortunately, I have a Doctor (GP) who gives me good advice.  Anything potentially serious, he refers me to a specialist.  (I have made follow-up appointments with my Doctor to get his opinion/interpretation of what a specialist has told me.)  There is a second opinion inherent in being referred to a specialist.

You also get great medical care in Canada with socialized medicine. Much like I do at US Veterans Administration.

25 million Americans will not be able to afford medical care 1 Jan 2026. Shame because for the financially adept it put a dent in our GDP and strain the bankruptcy courts.

Wrong. The affluent from all over come to the U.S. because the united state has the best healthcare. The poor in the USA will always have healthcare. The goal with healthcare reform is to get some of the waste out of Obama Care. Because of COVID rider  the provision that about to expire covers high earners. The free market rewards doctors who overachieve to rise above the average. Parity in social medicine provides no monetary incentive for advancement. My family business has always had health insurance. My retirement with Medicare and its rider costs me 150$ per month. The most I pay is 50$. We experience little wait time for any service. I witnessed several retired servicemen deal with Veterans health care services in Fayetteville. The wait times for any procedure Is ridiculous. I wouldn’t trade for my United Methodist Health Care. Your experience is with Veterans Affairs. I’ve experience both. The United States healthcare is second to none.

Retired US MILITARY have CHAMPUS now called TRICARE they use VA because they are cheap. I have only VA. No other insurance or care. If the retirees are injured from service like me, they would be in Group 1 like me. Groups 1-8 based on service injuries. They probably weren’t damaged enough in service so it makes sense they should have paid the /TRICARE deductible instead of cheaping out plugging up the system for combat injured like me.

BS l, most of American citizens don’t want to

pay later at emergency rooms for instance coverage now under ACA. Way more expensive later.

@KARNUT once again your bias eliminates fact.

Recent polling suggests that a solid majority of Americans support the Affordable Care Act overall, and most also favor extending its enhanced subsidies and tax credits rather than letting them expire.[yahoo +4]
Overall ACA support
Gallup’s latest national survey finds that 57% of Americans approve of the ACA, the highest level recorded in their trend.  KFF’s Fall 2025 tracking poll is similar, with about 64% of U.S. adults holding a favorable view of the law and about 35% unfavorable.[kff +3]
Support for extending subsidies/tax credits
Multiple polls show majority support for extending the ACA’s enhanced premium subsidies and tax credits rather than letting them lapse.  One Navigator survey reported roughly 78% support when the policy was described as “extending health care subsidies to help Americans pay for health insurance,” and about 65% support when the more technical tax-credit language was used.[navigatorresearch +3]
Among ACA enrollees specifically
Support for extension is even stronger among people directly using ACA marketplace coverage.  A recent KFF poll found that about 55% of people who buy their own insurance support refusing any budget that omits an extension, and about 84% of marketplace enrollees want Congress to extend the tax credits.[kff +2]

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
