I am not a fan of the remote design on my 2024. It will activate occasionally when bumping into other items in my pocket. At home it's not an issue since the truck is in the outbuilding and the keys hang on a hook in the house.  When traveling i often find my truck has unlocked itself. The butto s on the remote are not recessedike my other remotes, they sit too proud of the surrounding surface and are too easily bumped unintentionally. I may have the dealer note it the next time I take it in, since GM often uses the excuse that no one lodges complaints so they arent aware of issues.

Never had a button press on my fob (2022.5 1500 but same fob as yours).  I never have it in my pocket though.  Its on a small carabiner that hangs on one of my pant belt loops.

I'll get flack for it just like in that tailgate dash button thread but a lot of these complaints are user error at the end of the day.  Key fob in your pocket but its not in some sort of case or something to keep the buttons getting hit or like those tailgate people trying to blame GM when they've got $hit all over their console that is hitting the tailgate release button, but then they blame the button and GM.

I just don't carry things in the same pocket as my key fob.

I have the same issue. I don't carry anything in my pocket so thats not the issue. I've had it unlock or lock by just stepping up on something higher and pulling my jeans tight against the key fob. And before anyone jumps to the conclusion, no I do not wear skinny jeans. Never had an issue with Toyota or Ram key fobs over the 15 years I owned those vehicles.

I get the same unintentional key fob activity with my wife's '22 and my '24 as both have the  same design.

It doesn't matter if I have anything else in my pocket or not.  I do have trailer lock keys, a gate key, and a house key on the fob and those aren't coming off.

Never happened with the 4 RAM pickups I owned.

Maybe the test drivers didn't wear Wrangler jeans as that's the only constant between all the trucks I've owned.  :)

+1 for issues with the '24 fobs activating. Never a problem with any other year or manufacturer. I have to keep it in a pocket all by itself, and even then it can get activated by movement.

I've not had this issue with my '21.  My fob also has a brass key chain, house key, office key, and a few others.  And I always have a metal wallet in the same front pocket.

It might be that since new, I've had this fob protector on it, which is relatively stiff.  Could be it's just enough to keep the buttons from getting pushed.  And being made from TPU instead of silicone, it doesn't break down and get slimy over time.

GM fob protector

Comes in 5- or 6-button versions.
