I have a LTZ and it has the shifter in the console, which I like, but, every now and then, it will not stay in Reverse. I go through all the motions, hold the button in, push the shifter forward and watch the dash.  The big red R comes on and also the back up camera.  Then, it just pops out of Reverse with the shifter all the way forward.  So then the game begins.  Back and to Drive, Reverse.  This goes on 8 - 10 times. Very frustrating. Had it back to the dealer and they replaced some kind of computer, but it is now happing again. It is so bad, my wife will not drive the truck, she is afraid of being stuck somewhere.

Anyone else with this PIA problem?

I just picked it up Friday and they said they only got it to act up once.  Well, once is too many for me.  They are going to call GM on Monday and see what they have to say.  It has been back two times, one more I will push towards the lemon law.

Have you spilt anything on the console during ownership?  Water, coffee, soda, juice, etc.?

GM has been seeing contaminated console shift controls causing all sorts of issues.  Requires replacing the shift control.

Hey Newdude,

I can honestly say that nothing has contaminated the controls.  They actually replace the controller 3 weeks ago.  I don't eat or drink in any of my vehicles so I know it is not that.  But thanks for the input.
