Sweet Job Linda,

I've got the 6 cd in dash with XM (activated) with the bose setup. Can I plug n Play the nav unit with out any crazy mods? I dont need the 6 cd changer. Also has anyone hard wired an ( Apple )IPOD MP3 player? Is there a way? I dont want to use any crap FM transmitter? Any advice would be great.

thanks

Rich

you only need the 6 wires i have posted. the other two can be capped off. And yes, one end of the harness stays intact so you can plug it into the changer....the other end you just remove the pins with a paperclip and discard the connector. Then plug the pins into their respective places in the two harness like i have shown.

the NAV unit will plug and play into escalades and denali's only (not sierra denali) . If you are putting this HU into anything else, such as silverado (like mine), sierra, tahoe, suburban, or anything else....you will need the upgraded AMP and a few wiring changes at the AMP harness (not difficult at all).

Anyone know of a place to buy a 6 Disc Changer new like that NAV unit? I'm not interested in NAV, just would like to add 6 disc changer to my Single CD/Cassette/AM/FM/XM. Yes it is Bose model.

GM Part # 15055250 works with 2004 Sierra, correct? Then the only other part I need is the AUX Cable (GM Part # 15312903)?

yup, thats all you need. You will have to do a little modding to your console insert as well in order to put the changer in. There is a pocket there now, you will need to cut it open.

Well, currently I can only find one 6 disc changer on Ebay, and it has a different part number than what you listed. I think I'd rather just buy a new one, but not from a dealer. Prices are too high at dealers.

I also have two other questions, one you'll know for sure, the other maybe, maybe not.

First question, if and when I decide to go with the NAV will I loose my XM?

Second, I have a Motorola V600, since AT&T Wireless can't sell me a plan to replace the Personal Minutes from Onstar I want to buy the Bluetooth Car kit for it. It has a wire that you can connect to the stereo in you car to mute the radio when you have a call. Does anyone know which wire to tie into so that when my phone rings the radio will display "PHONE" on the display and mute the radio like when on an OnStar call? I know I can just use a relay and tie into the IGNT switch, but the other way would be cooler...

Do the Sierra Denalis need a different amp? I thought that they would be plug and play also. I know the amp in my '03 Sierra Denali was different that in my cousins '03 Silverado with Bose.

From what I gather the Denali has the correct amp for this mod.

The sound works in my 04 Sierra Denali with the nav unit. All I need is to get rid of the theftlock.

hmmmmm, i have heard yes and No's about the sound working in the Sierra Denali without having to get it programmed. Im glad it worked for you PAT. Do you know if you have the RPO Y91 option in your truck? If you do...that would explain it.
