tranny swapping?

91 GMC sierra 1500 2wd, 350, auto trans........ the tranny is starting to take a dump, so instead of spending money on another rebuild, was pondering swapping in a manual trans. was wondering if anyone has done this? what exactly will i need to change, tranny ofcourse, find a clutch pedal assembly of the same year, master cylinder, crossmember for a manual trans?, change out the cpu or can i swap out the "chip" with an after market one for a manual trans? anything else i'm forgeting??????

been looking to do same with 90 suburban tired of replacing 700r4 tranny this would be third one anyway friends have said get a donner truck complete and cut and mould and swap

ya it can b done really easy u jus need different cross members drive shaft and mounts and u will need hydrolic or non hydrolic cluch setup its really easy ive done it a couple of times
