Hope this is in the right section....

 

1. My parents have an '02 tahoe w/ heated mirrors, and the one on the driver's side "leaked." There's a pinhole in it, and a lot of the fluid came out. Has anyone ever had this happen, and, where is the best place to find a cheap replacement? (tried Ebay, no luck; our GM dealers suck) It's got the black plast backs, not the chrome or color-matched ones.

 

2. I own a '97 c-1500, which has power mirrors. In looking for a replacement for the 'rents, I noticed several replacements for 98-00 OBS tahoes/suburbans. My question is, if I were to replace my mirrors with the power/heated ones, would the heating function work or not? I know that I could make them work by wiring them myself, but I'm only interested if they'll work using my existing harness pigtails.

 

Can anyone shed some light on this?
