any way to manually turn lights off?

starting the truck with the parking brake on will keep them from coming on, but obviously if you take the brake off, on they come. Some have found a way to keep the brake on just barely though.

Put a resistor in the place of the ambient light sensor. Your DRL will be on at all times, but you'll have control over your headlights. . .like you should!

I think the owners manual says to push the dome override switch in and out twice to cancel them.

Just do what I did and do this.

This allows you to switch between Automatic and Manual Control.

PS -- this still doesn't stop your DRL's from working. Haven't found a fix for that yet. I don't mind the DRL's though.

You could also put a relay and switch in that circuit and have it to where you could switch between auto and manual with the flick of a switch.

There is a window between the 99 and 2000 models that neither method works. We had an early 2000 model that was made in 99 and you could not turn the lights off with the Dome Override switch or the parking break. I didn't mind it too much, but my dad sure did.
