License Plate Bulb

Anyone know the part number for the license plate bulb for a '01 Silverado? Doesn't seem to be in the manual.

if you go to www.sylvania.com under the auto section you can put in your vehicle and it will give you all the bulb #'s

Why not just ask at your local auto parts store when you go to get it instead of having to take the time to let people reply to your forum. Seems like a timely way to get your answer to me.

I asked at the local parts store. They gave me the wrong part number which they didn't have in stock anyway. Maybe I wanted to order it online. Maybe a side benefit would be that the knowlegable members here wuld direct me to a good website where I could look up my own part numbers. Why did you take the time pointing out the obvious?

Why not just take the bulb out and match the number and the auto parts store. :-0

yeah order a $0.50 bulb online and pay $2 or more to ship it. Very logical. haha

I thought I could ask a simple question on this forum, get a simple answer and be done with it. I certainly didn't expect to be questioned and ridiculed. Thanks to those that took the time to answer my question and add other info of value. It appears that the majority of people that visit this site are willing to just be friendly and helpful to an infrequent visitor. Too bad there are a few that have to act like insider know-it-alls and throw out smart a__ comments to make the experience unpleasant. I'm disappointed.
