Hey guys,

After my 2nd winter of looking at tar and s**t all over my truck and my running boards getting beat up, I guess I better get some mud flaps, but with my custom paint, I don't know what to do...do you think black would look stupid with the blue 2 tone?

And those putco chrome suckers are way more than I want to spend?

What about some cheaper stainless ones like the ones listed at real truck made by highland...like $20 a pair...would those universal types look too stupid with the big fenders?

Thanks for any advice

I bought a set of Huskys for my 06 2500HD Duramax, they are just like the ones my son bought from GM but doesn't have GMC on them. I like the plain ones myself. They usually are $29.95 pr.

I put a set of the huskies on mine from Cabelas. They look pretty good on there. They are sort of hard to see from a lot of angles. If you're running oversized tires though these hushkies might not be for you. If I had 285's on mine the would rub due to the offset at the lower part of the splash guard. I don't have any pictures yet of mine on my truck.

I have some plain black universal fit flaps on mine. Thaey do not overlap the fender or rub the paint anywhere except inside the fender wells. They look good to me because straight from the side they are almost invisible, I think in this case less is more, I didn't want some chrome or big molded flap saying "Here I am big mud flap..." I'll look for a pic. Plus really cheap.

asilverblazer, that's kinda what I was looking for, something fairly cheap that wouldn't stick out. I was worried simple black mudflaps would look out of place with all the customization on my truck...where did you get your universal black ones?

Thanks!
